ServiceNow Service Catalog Creation and Benefits During COVID-19

Recently I have created a catalog item for my client and encourages me to share how ServiceNow Service Catalog enables organizations to change forward with their digital transformation. ServiceNow is a cloud‑based platform that helps to manage IT as a service from a single system of record. We heard a lot about the need for delivering a wide range of products and services through a modern and user‑friendly storefront especially during this COVID-19 pandemic and it’s known that ServiceNow played a vital role in being used in many of the facilities like the case of the Washington State. Most companies move the office to remote services and customers are enjoying greater self‑service satisfaction and faster request fulfillment.

The catalog item that I developed below can be found in my YouTube channel including the live demo. I have used nothing except one client script to auto-populate another field based on what the user inputs.

The ServiceNow Service Catalog automates request processes using workflows and approvals to enable organizations to improve the customer experience, accelerate service delivery and reduce operational costs. The Service Catalog’s APIs make using internal portals easy. It does not have heavy scripting or customization required to create a user-friendly catalog item and its components.

ServiceNow is a cloud‑based platform that helps to manage IT as a service from a single system of record and Service Catalog is just one example of that.
